we conducted a swimming coaching camp lasting 2 weeks. about 40 children participated.

Suresh Kormath installed as new President

In a colorful function at JuJu International, Payyanur, Lion Suresh Kormath was installed as the new President of Lions club of Payyanur. Lion Manoj CP will be secretary and Lion Santhosh Pandyala will be treasurer. Vice District Governor -1 elect Lion Ganeshan Kaniyarakkal installed the president and his team of office bearers.

Honoured Dr A R Pai on Doctors day

We honoured senior doctor of Payyanur, Dr A R Pai, for his services to the society for over 40 years. President Suresh Kormath did the honours.

Family meeting and new member induction

We had a family meeting on 26th May, 2017. 8 new members were inducted- Vinodkumar Kambikkanam, Rajesh Raghavan, Dr Balamani Rajeev, Nisha Sasi, Radha Damodaran, Pushpa Balan, Indu Ratheesh, Chitra Ramachandran. Chevron awards were given away to Dr K Gopinath (40yrs), Prof TV Kamalakshan (40yrs), Mohandas Pai (30yrs), Dr VC Raveendran (15yrs). Cubs Akshara Jayaraj who performed well in SSLC and Sidharth Mohan who got good marks in +2 examinations were congratulated. The meeting was followed by flute performance by Johnson Punjakkad.

Governor's visit

CA K Shivaprasad MJF, District Governor, visited our club on 5th Jan, 2017. Dr Vishwan V was inducted as new member. Inaugurated toilets, the club constructed at Pilathara UP school. Donated chairs to Government hospital, Payyanur.

Zone Conference

Zone conference was held under the Zone Chairman Er Ratheesh TV. Lions clubs of Payyanur, Cheruvathur, Perumba and Ezhimala participated.

Honoured Prof TV Kamalakshan on Teachers day

Members visited and honoured retired Prof TV Kamalakshan on Teachers day. He's also a veteran Lion. He shared his memories in teaching profession (He was a teacher in Brennen college, Telichery, Nehru college, Kanhangad and Women's polytechnic, Payyanur).
