Dr Sunitha Menon honoured

 On doctors day, we honoured Dr Sunitha Menon, renowned pediatrician. She was instrumental in getting kayakalpa award for Payyanur government hospital, and the successful COVID-19 vaccination program in Payyanur. 

VV Surendran installed as new president

 

New team of office bearers, led by VV Surendran were installed by PMCC Dr Rajiv S PMJF. PDG Dr K Damodaran PMJF and VDG 2 elect KV Ramachandran graced the occasion. Service projects were carried out. 

Family meeting in house boat

 Family meeting was conducted in house boat on 18th June at Kavvayi.

Reception to VDG2 elect Lion KV Ramachandran

 Lion KV Ramachandran was elected as VDG-2 of the district in the election held at Saptha resorts, Sultan Battery on 8th May, 2022. He was given a grand reception at the club on 12th May. 

Multiple Council Awards

Past Multiple council Chairperson Adv A V Vaman Kumar distributed Multiple council awards for the year 2019-20 at IMA Hall, Eranakulam. Payyanur got the best Lions club award in the Multiple District. President Santakaranarayanan, secretary Dr Sajin K M and treasurer P Gangadharan got best president, best secretary and best treasurer awards respectively. K V Ramachandran was awarded the best cabinet secretary award. V Balan was the best cabinet treasurer. Dr S Rajiv was awarded Excellence award. The dialysis center of the club got the award for the best permanent project.

Charter anniversary and Ladies night

Charter anniversary was celebrated on 6th March 2022. Dr Suchitra Sudhir, PDG was the chief guest. PDGs Dr K Damodarn and Dr Rajiv S and past presidents of the club were honoured. Ladies night celebrations followed the meeting. 

Governor Yohannan Mattathil's visit to the club

District governor Yohannan Mattathil visited the club on 30-12-2021. During the visit he handed over the newly constructed house to Beena K A. The house was constructed by the generous contribution from Lion P V K Krishnan and Lion T C V Dineshan. The club donated furniture to fir and safety department, which were sponsored by Lion K M Mustaffa.
