Donation of wheel chairs

We donated 10 Wheel chairs to the disabled people this week, in various parts of Payyanur. The event was inaugurated by Municipal Chairperson Smt K V Lalitha on 7th Janurary, by donating 3 of the wheel chairs at Ladies Night function. 

Donation of Chair to Govt School

Donated 30 plastic chairs to Payyanur Govt Girls Higher Secondary School. PDG Ln Dr K Damodaran handed over the chair to Municipal chairman Smt K V Lalitha.

Tricycle to paralyzed

Kuttan is paralyzed. He had a tricycle, but it was old and falling apart. At his request Lions club donated a new tricycle at a cost of Rs 8000.

Home for homeless

Gave financial aid to homeless and crippled Venu. He lives with family of four in a make shift house. He is paralyzed in his lower limbs, in spite of which he used to work. But now, he got severe asthma, he can't work. Lions club gave him Rs 10,000 as aid.

Rope to Fire Station, Payyanur

Payyanur Fire force approached Lions club to provide them with a rope, which were not provided by the department. Deep wells, approachability, obstacles etc made it difficult to use the existing ladder for rescue operations in cases of people falling into wells, and many people even lost their lives. Lions club of Payyanur readily agreed and provided them with this rope ladder, costing Rs 10,000/-. Lion Vineesh handed over the same. 

Sports Academy Valedictory function

It was held on 1-Jan-2011. VDG Ln Vineesh Vidhyadharan was the guest of honour and gave away the certificates to students.  T J Jacob, DIG of Police, CRPF Peringome was the chief guest. He was a national champion in swimming, and had represented India in Asian Games and Olympics. Sri Balakrishnan, member, sports council, Sri Maniyappan, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Sri PCK Nambiar, ZC were also present.
