Onam celebration

Family general body and Onam Celebration of of LC payyanur was held on 07-09-19.

During the occassion inducted two members Mr.Mukesh.A and Er.Suresh N.K. PDG Ln. Dr.K.Damodaran PMJF was the induction officer.

Hon.MLA C.Krishnan released the new book by famous teacher,writer and poet Sri.PM.Unnikrishnan Adiyodi during the function.

Hon. DG Ln.Dr.S.Rajiv honoured Miss.Sarojini Tholat for her fabulous achievements in various international sports meets.

Followed by various cultural programmes and Ona sadya.

Onam Celebrations

Independence day

Independence day was celebrated. President hoisted the flat at Lions hall. Sweets were distributed at Chinmaya Vidyala, Annur.

Honoured Prof TV Kamalakshan on Teachers day

Members visited and honoured retired Prof TV Kamalakshan on Teachers day. He's also a veteran Lion. He shared his memories in teaching profession (He was a teacher in Brennen college, Telichery, Nehru college, Kanhangad and Women's polytechnic, Payyanur).

Onam family meeting

Onam celebration was held on Aug 30th 2015. Dr K Gopinath, who was celebrating his 70th birthday on the same day was felicitated. PDG Sreenivas Shenoy was the chief guest. Various onam programs including a tug of war between Lions and Lionesses were held.

Doctors Day celebrated

On doctors' day, we honoured veteran and greatly honoured doctor of Payyanur, S Chandrashekar Shenoy. club members donated blood and conducted a health check up camp.

Independence day

On August 15, 2014, President Prasanth Nayanar hoisted the flag at 8.15am. Then he attended and supervised Independence day parade at Fazal e Omar school at Aduthila, a neighboring area. He received and inspected the band parade and spoke on the occasion.

LC Payyanur donated green boards and study materials to Govt LP School (Tapal School). Members and Leo club distributed sweets to children on the occasion.

Communal Harmony and Iftar meet

 We conducted Iftar and Communal Harmoney meeting in association with Syed Shihab Ali Thangal Relief Trust on 12th July 2014, at Kahide Milath School,  Kavvayi. V Balan welcomed the gathering. President Prashant Nayanar spoke on the significance of Ramzan in modern times. This was followed by the address of Janab Mohammad Al Ashari and Shukkor Haji (Secretary, Kavvayi Muslim Jamath Committee). On the occasion, 50 Ramzan Kits sponsored by Lion members were distributed. This was handed over by Lion Dr KPO Sulaiman to Abdul Latheef, secretary of Trust. Program was well attended by Lions members. After the meeting, everybody Joined the people from Kavvayi in breaking their fast by partaking of Ifthar food.

Ladies' Night & Charter Anniversary

Ladies' Night & Charter Anniversary were celebrated on 21st Feb. PDG Ln Dr K Damodaran PMJF

delivered Charter Anniversary speech.  Various entertainment programs were performed under the leadership and guidance of Lioness President Dr Balamani Rajiv, Dr Suja Vinod, Niranjana Nair and Advocate Sanika Padmanabhan.

Children's Park at Annur

We upgraded Lions Children's Park at Junior school in Annur. Lions club had previously donated slide there. This year we donated Merry-Go-Round and Sea-Saws. The Park was given a face lift.
On November 14th, Children's day, Lions gathered with the kids and their parents and grand parents in the school, and joined them in celebrating the occasion. Children were beautifully dressed in whites. PDG Dr K Damodaran spoke on the occasion.

Observed Gandhi Jayanthi and and Senior citizen's day

On October 2nd we held a meeting together with senior citizen's forum, Payyanur at Lions Hall, Thayineri. An elocution competition was held for school children. Noted writer and Gandhian Payyanur Kunhiraman master was the chief guest. Sri Vijayan Nambiar, District Governor of Y's mens club was guest of honour.

Honoured Sri P Appukkuttan master on teacher's day

On Sep 5th, teacher's day, we honoured Sr P Appukuttan master, a much revered teacher and social worker. PDG Dr K Damodaran and Dr Rajiv spoke facilitating him. 

Iftar & communal Harmony meet

today we celebrated an Iftar and communal harmony function. the meeting was well attended. We had lots of guests from public, Lions club of Cheruvathur, Rotary and Jayces. our ZC Ln PCK Nambiar attended. The leaders from various religions spoke. It was brief and in a very good atmosphere. Lots of children and family members attended.
