Governor's visit of TK Rejeesh

 District governor CA TK Rejeesh visited the club on April 18th, 2024. The same day he handed over 2 newly constructed houses for homeless. PDG George D Das, CEO of Manappuram foundation graced the occasion. Other projects were conducted in Government hospital, Sanjayan library and at the DySP office.

 District Governor Dr OV Sanal visited the club on 5rd march, 2021.

 He inaugurated a blood donation camp, held in association with Lions mobile blood bank and Malabar cancer center.

He handed over the newly constructed house to the beneficiary, in Moorikkovval. 

 He also inaugurated a road sign board at Puthiyankaav. 

Mobile blood bank to Malabar Cancer Center

 Lions clubs of Payyanur, Tellicherry jointly with District 318E donated a mobile blood bank to Malabar Cancer Center. The project was aided by Lions clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and Manappuram Foundation. Honourable minister E P Jayarajan handed over the key to Director Satheeshan Balasubramanian. 
Governor Dr S Rajiv, MLA N Shansheer, Municipal Chairman C K Rameshan, Cabinet Secretary K V Ramachandran, Treasurer V Balan, President of LC Telicherry Pradeep, President LC Payyanur Sankaranarayanan, DG Elect O V Sanal, PDG Adv A J Mathew and PDG Adv Dennis Thomas attended the function.

Childrens park at Buds school

We donated Children's play park at Pratheesha Buds Special school, Ramanthali. PDG Dr K Damodaran inaugurated the park. Panjayath President M V Govindan, Principal P V Sini and other members attended the program.

Governor Ganeshan Kaniyarakkal's visit

Governor Ganeshan Kaniyarakkal conducted his official visit to the club on 31st Janurary, 2019. On the occasion, he inaugurated a bus waiting shelter and a home for homeless project.

He felicitated Er Ratheesh Kumar who constructed the house for home for homeless project.

He also felicitated cub Srinivas who won gold medal in badminton in students Olympics in malaysia.

Swimming coaching camp conducted

We held our regular swimming coaching for children this year too, in association with Kerala adventure sports promoting association, at Alakkat Kulam. 32 children participated

ലയൺസ് club International ന്റെ  "അന്ധത നിവാരണം" എന്ന മുഖ്യ പ്രൊജക്റ്റിന്റെ  ഭാഗമായി പയ്യന്നൂർ BEMLP Schoolൽ Lions club പയ്യന്നൂരിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ  നേത്രരോഗ പരിശോധനാ ക്യാമ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. 60 ഓളം കുട്ടികളെ അത്യാധുനിക സംവിധാനം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പരിശോധിച്ചു. ലയൺസ് 318Eയുടെ 2nd vice Governor Dr S Rajiv ഉദ്ഘാടനം നിർവഹിച്ചു. പ്രസിഡണ്ട് സുരേഷ് കോർമത്ത് അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ സ്കൂൾ പി.ടി.എ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് അജിത്ത് ഷേണായി സ്വാഗതവും ശ്രീമതി രമ്യ ടീച്ചർ നന്ദിയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. സെക്രട്ടറി മനോജ് കുമാർ സി.പി, സോൺ ചെയർമാൻ ജയരാജ് കുട്ടമത്ത്, കോയ മുസ്തഫ, വിജയകുമാർ ഷേണായ്, ഗംഗാധരൻ ആലക്കാട്ട്, വി.വി ദിലീപ് എന്നിവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

CA K Shivaprasad MJF, District Governor, visited our club on 5th Jan, 2017. Dr Vishwan V was inducted as new member. Inaugurated toilets, the club constructed at Pilathara UP school. Donated chairs to Government hospital, Payyanur.

Governor's Visit

Governor K Sujith MJF visited our club. He inaugurated the project of water pump to old age home at Kanayi. The club made a donation to Dialysis center, run by it. PDG K Damodaran PMJF was honoured in the meeting.

Sports Academy coaching camp

Sports academy camp was held in Dec 2015 christmas vacation at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in football and badminton. about 100 students participated.

This year also, the Sports Academy functioning under the Lions Club of Payyanur, conducted free sports coaching camp in football, badminton and volleyball for school children between December 20th and 28th at Chinmaya Vidyalaya,Payyanur. There was a massive turnout this time, with 120 children in football, 25 in badminton and 12 students in volleyball.

   Coaching in these disciplines was done by Mr.Anil (football), Mr.Krishnan (volleyball) and Mr.Noushad(badminton). The camp was inaugurated by Sports Academy Chairman, Ln.Dr.Gopinath PMJF. Camp concluded on 27th with valedictory function graced by Payyanur MLA, Shri C Krishnan who distributed the certificates. As a follow up to this camp, select children will be given one month detailed coaching in April in football.

Biogas plant installed in MRCH

District Governor AJ Mathew installed the new biogas plant we constructed at MRCH, a school for children with special needs. The  meeting was well attended, the chairman of school, Dr VC Raveendran, who is also a Lion briefly described the wonderful progress of the special school and the contribution of Lions club and other people. Dr Mohan Ramdas and Uthradam Chandran who are active in the school are also active Lions. AJ Mathew congratulated these Lions for their contribution to society.

donated a tricycle at Rs 10,000/- to a paralysed person.

Mega medical camp

A mega medical camp was held by Lions Club Of Payyanur, in association with VR Nayanar Smaraka Vayanasala at Kunhimangalam on 28/09/2014. A special camp for oral cancer detection and gynec awareness was also held. Camp was inaugurated by MLA TV Rajesh. Doctors from different specialties examined patients for free and medicines were distributed. Suspected cancer cases were advised further tests and treatment. Doctors present in the camp were Ln Dr.Mohan Ramdas(General Medicine), Ln Dr VC Raveendran and Ln Dr Padmanabhan(ENT), Ln Dr S Rajiv(dermatology), Ln Dr Praveen Gopinath and Lns Dr.Balamani Rajiv (Gynecology) and Ln Dr AV Sreekumar, Ln Dr E Rajesh, Lns Dr. Suja Vinod (Dental).

Distributed food aid to group of blind people

2nd vice district governor, Lion CA Shivaprasad MJF , distributed 30 onam kits to "Ashraya", a self help and employment group of blind people at Mathamanagalam.

Free Swimming Coaching to Children

We started a free swimming coarching camp, as part of our Sports Academy camps on July 20th, in association with Payyanur Adventure Sports Academy. Sri Jayarm is the chief instructor. Sri Sushir, CI of Police inaugurated the program. The camp is for 2 weeks, for the children aged 10-14 yrs. Sri Suresh Kauttamath, Shivaraman, and Prabhakaran assist Sri Jayaram in coaching the children.

Camp was closed on Aug 3rd. certificates were distributed by Sasi Vattakkovval, Municipal Standing committee Chairman, Payyanur Municipality and Dr P V Aboobackar, President, Adventure Sports Academy. Our Special thanks to project director Lion K V Ramachandran for carrying out the camp successfully.
