Lions
dialysis center Payyanur, a project under Lions charitable society of
Payyanur is the permanent project of Lions club of Payyanur. It was
commissioned on 23rd
July 2013 with an investment of Rs. 23 lakhs. Major part of funds
were raised by Mega TV and Cinema awards night under leadership of
Ln.V. Balan and his team of office bearers with the support of all
members of lions club of Payyanur.
It was my idea to start the
dialysis center to be managed by lions club of Payyanur and our dream
came true by donation of 2 dialysis machines, one by Mr. N. C.
Prakash through Ln. Er. Ratheesh and second by Mr. A. T. Mohammed
Kunhi through Ln. Jaffer. These two lions have continued to support
us in many ways. The success of the dialysis center is hugely
dependent upon the continued support by way of free space, support
staff from their hospital and also monetary support by Ln. Dr. K.
Gopinath, one of our senior most lion and Lion Dr. Praveen Gopinath,
additional cabinet secretary.
We are proud to announce that, till
date we have done about 850 dialysis, of which about 280 are entirely
free to the patients and remaining 570 at a very low cost of Rs.700/-
per dialysis. We are grateful to PDG Ln. Dr. K. Damodaran and all the
members of dialysis committee for their support.
We are very happy
that the present office bearers L. Jayaraj Kuttamath, President, Ln.
Ajith Shenoy, Secretary and Ln. Santhosh, Treasurer with support of
all the members of our club have raised an amount of Rs. 2.15 lakhs
through a Mega magic show for this noble project. On behalf of all
