We attended District Sports meet on 27-2-11 at Samorin school grounds, Calicut. President Ln Vijayakumar, secretary Ln Praveen, Ln Mustaffa, Ln Gangadharan, Ln Radhakrishnan attended.The meet was well organised. Lions club of Bandadukka had all it's members attending, in uniform. Meet started with a 'march past'. Ln Vineesh VDG-II, mentioned about the sports academy of Lions club of Payyanur.
We participated in all items. Ln Gangadharan turned out to be a surprise. The former Volleyball player won gold in shotput and discuss throw. In shotput, he was in over-45 age group catagory, and one meter threw more than the under-45 age group winner. he also bagged silver in long jump.
Congrats Ln. Gangadharan. No surprise there! Proud of you.
